摘要: 隨著Internet的普及,企業e化已成為企業運用資訊科技的新趨勢。在企業e化過程中,除了引進網際網路相關資訊科技外,企業流程的改造與e化是一個重要關鍵。近年來不斷有新的工作流程管理系統出現,其架構則從早期封閉式的主從架構,繼而被整合在群組軟體裡。隨著企業引進網際網路和使者的激增、資料量的不斷膨脹和企業全球化等新需求湧現,造成傳統架構的瓶頸,因此需要創造新的架構以滿足這些需求。為了因應這些新需求,因此本研究以網際網路為基礎,設計與實作一個工作流程管理系統。該系統採用多層架構,以軟體元件建構,提供流程處理、流程管理和相互操作功能,並講求系統的延伸性,使用者只需瀏覽器與E-mail軟體即可完成系統所有的功能操作。

Abstract: E-business has been one of the important trends in IT applications. The key to the success of E-business is to re-engineer enterprise workflow with the adoption of Internet technology. A variety of workflow management systems have been developed from traditional client/server model to Groupware integration. As enterprises become globalized and Internet connected, new and better architecture is needed to meet the requirements of volume users and data. In this paper, we develop a multi-tier, scalable, Internet-based workflow management system based on object components. This system features workflow enactment, administration and interoperability. Users access the system's functionality using E-mail reader and Web browser only.

An Internet-Based Workflow Management System
